Selection of Columns in Performance Management

Hi All,

I have seen post on almost every section of Performance Management but I found that there is no post which describes about each of  standard column and the reason that on what basis or on what requirement we need to select these different standard columns .

It will be great if some important or most frequently used column can be described and the scenario/requirement when we need to select them.

For example : When we use FAPP(Final Appraisal) column .

Please provide your valuable inputs by explaining a requirement.
