LSMW Infotype 2003

Greetings, Gurus.

 

I'm running a LSMW recording to delete an item from Infotype 2003 at PA30.

When creating batch input, LSMW return error message: BDC GROUP Invalid.

 

I've made a research and many queries say that it is probably a mapping error. But I couldn't find any errors in this step.

 

Also I found it could be related to the field type definition step. Since I require certain date record to be deleted, field TIMR6 is used and defined as a "C" type field. Although I believe it is a "X" type field.  But while defining it as a "X" type field, system returns warnings "No record end indicators permitted in packed/hexadecimal fields." "No separators permitted in packed/hexadecimal fields." "Loading from front end is not allowed for packed/hexadec. fields".

I believed, "button type" fields were defined as X type fields.


Could you please help me whith this?

Also I hope is not an issue you have answered many times. Is the first time I run this process.

Deleting OM infotypes: FM RH_DELETE_INFTY

Hello everyone,

 

can anybody explain how to properly use this FM? I already found this thread, but I am puzzled how its author could possibly be content with the answer, seeing that he just got the standard FM documentation copied&pasted in response. The problem with that documentation is that it only explains two of the numerous parameters of the FM.

 

I am capable of understanding the German-language short texts for the other parameters, but their meaningfulness is limited.

 

  • LOAD has no text at all
  • ORDER_FLG is not clear to me
  • COMMIT_FLG: If I set this to SPACE, do I have to call a dedicated COMMIT FM later, or will a simple COMMIT WORK command do?
  • PPPAR_IMP: Which fields of this structure do I need to fill before passing it to the FM?
  • WORKF_ACTV: Default for this parameter is 'X', but I wonder what a simple infotype deletion has to do with a workflow.

Dynamic action Requirement

Hi Experts,

 

Currently we have an existing SAP ECC system, where for particular country ( with 5 Company codes employees) we have working functionality as follows:

 

1. whenever Infotype 0021 with child subtype is registered , system triggers IT0014 with some allowance to be saved for child benefits, this is achived with an custom ABAP program, now 2 new company codes with few employees have been added in the system for whom this functionality should not work.

 

ABAP team confirmed employees belonging to new company codes can be restricted.

 

New Requiremnent is as follows for all the employees including employees belonging to old and new company codes:

 

we need to write a dynamic action which should work as follows:

 

whenever Infotype 0021 with child subtype is created, IT0167 should be triggerd ( which can edited ).

 

Can somone help me to write dynamic action, will this dynamic action have an impact on existing custom ABAP program explained earlier as both are touching IT0021 with child subtype.

 

Please provide the dynamic action, but it should not impact the existing program functionality or please suggsest an alternative to achive this.

Workflow in HCM Processes & Forms

Hi all,

 

Most of the workflow in HCM P&F mentions HR Administrator. My question how is this HR administrator defined in standard workflow template - by position, role, or something else?

 

For example, Change of Address process & form: when an employee requests change of address, does this go to position that we specify in workflow, or does it go to any user with HR Administrator role?

Flexible Savings Account (IT0170) - Changing year start date

Currently the IT0170 year is gong from Pay Period 01 - 26 (Dec to Dec) and able to get the number of pay periods without an issue.  We are trying to change the off cycle start date to April 1, but I'm running into an issue.  From December - March of the change is working as expected. Payroll is trying to take a full year total for the months remaining which is the behavior I was expecting.  What is odd is as of the first pay period in April the operation P0170 cannot find the number of pay periods and cannot calculate the proper deduction amount.

 

Could there be a benefit or payroll setting that was missed?  The only wrinkle is that the system pays bi-weekly, but the payroll model is setup to take deductions semi-monthly (or 24 pays a year) could this be causing my issue trying to change to April 1?

Pro Rated Sick Leave on Separation Action

Dear Experts ,

 

      I want to prorate the Leave Quota at the time of Employee separation . Currently the Leave quota is generated when run time evaluation on the day of their Service anniversary. And when separation action runs, the Leave quota is manually changed as per the pro prated days . The requirement is to make the system to prorate automatically when separation happens..

 

Hope the standard settings could applied for the above requirement .

Querying Hire date and system date using rules

Hi Experts,

 

Scenario: I want to query the hire date (maintained in IT0041) and the system's current date.

Want to compare both the dates and need to check the condition hiring date should not equal to the current date, if yes employee is not eligible for certain benefits.

 

Please let me know how to solve this req using PCR.

SAP LSO Learning Progress

Hi,

 

We are implementing SAP LSO and we have the below query:

 

When we run the WBT course, we are able to play and if we close in between, we are not able to see the progress mde till that point.

For eg., if we have 10 page document and read through 6 pages and close it, I made 60% progress, but system is showing either 0% or 100%.

 

Can you please suggest what needs to be done to see the correct progress.

 

And do we need any additional software to ahceive this? Please suggest.

 

And also, I would like to know how we can make the material as SCORM complaint?

 

Please suggest.

LSO - Manage participant by Manager in MSS

Hi,

We are implementing LSO and the requirement is to have the "Manage Participant" option in MSS to only the A-002 relationship manager.

Currently it's showing based on A-012 relationship. Can you please suggest how we can change this to A-002 - reporting manager.

BAPI to delete/deactivate employee

Hi All,

 

I need to figure out a way of how to delete or deactivate employee. I found a reports RPUDELPP and RPUDELPN which do the thing.

The only problem is that I need to do this from remote system so I'd like to find a (if possible) standard BAPI which would do that. Aim is to do this for all infotypes that exits for particular employee.

 

Is someone aware of such a BAPI?

Is it possible to e.g. deactivate teh employee by manipulating a validity (from/do) date of particular infotype?

populating data into Infotype 0302 (Additional Actions)

Hi all,

 

While I'm setting up a new Action Type for existing employee in tcode PA30. There is a new record added in table PA000 - Infotype Actions. Also an Additional Actions infotyp 0302 is populated (bottom part of picture below). There is a record added into PA0302 table.

Now I need to do the same programatically by BAPI call.

Can anyone suggest BAPI which can generate the recorsd in both tables PA0000 and PA0302?

Employee Photos with ArchiveLink

Dear All,

 

in order to display our employee's photos in PA20, PA30, .... and in the ESS- and MSS portal later on I have managed so far to create the repository (storage type R/3 database), amend the infotype header and upload a couple of photos with OAAD on our sandbox system.

 

Now I have the following questsions and would appreciate your comments and advices:

 

1)

Is there any possibility to upload and assign about 500 employee photos automatically for the initial upload?

 

2)

Can the whole repository be "transported" from the sandbox to the production environment after uploading and testing all of the photos?

 

3)

Later on our employees will be able to upload their photo in a Sharepoint portal themselves.

Has anyone experiences with this issue or knows how it could be possible to bring these uploaded photos from Sharepoint to SAP ArchiveLink?

Maybe at least when I can manage that the new uploaded photos from sharepoint will be downloaded to any fileysystem where I can pick them and upload them to SAP - in best case again automatically as requested in question 1?

 

I hope I could explain the problems I face now.

SAP will not be the leading system where the photos will be uploaded but should be the system where all the photos will be available to each personnell number.

In a first step I only want to upload all the 500 photos into ArchiveLink and later on the connection to Sharepoint and the automatic update would be great.

quota carry forward based on senority

Hi,

 

i was trying out this issue  Re: Maximum entitlement based on seniority, but i am not able to get the exact solution , the quota is not getting carry forward

 

hired an employee on 01.01.2014 and maintained in 2013 as 546 and run the time evaluation till 31.01. 2015  and the output is showing as below ( quota is 41)

Medical Reimbursement Arrears not adding to /616 if the amount is in negative

Hi

I have a issue on /616 Add Gross Salary.  In the cross financial years if there is any change in the basic pay with retrospective effect or any unpaid absence is there  to that extent all wage types in Infotype 0008 is either adding or deducting in the current year payroll and it is effecting on the /616 also.

 

This is working fine for all wage types except Medical Reimbursement.  If there is any hike in the Medical Reimbursement  with effect retrospective  the hike is effecting in the /616.  This is fine.

 

But if any unpaid absence is there for the previous year entered in current year the Amount of Medical Reimbursement is reducing in pro rata in the payroll, but the change  is not effecting in the /616.

 

Requesting the forum to help in this issue.
