I have a scenario at my current client where they want the partial period reduction for the wagetypes in infotype 0008 to be handled differently for Basic Pay Wagetype 0001 and all dependent wage types (0002-0006).
1. If any employee takes a leave without pay(unpaid absence) after joining, then only the basic pay wagetype should be reduced. All dependent allowances wagetypes are still paid at the standard amount
2. If any employee joins during the middle of any payroll period, then all wagetypes including basic and dependent allowances should be reduced according to the pro-rata rate.
3. If any employee joins during the middle of the payroll period and also takes an unpaid absence then how would the amounts are to be prorated ? I dont know.. :-)
So for the sake of points 1 and 2, I know it can handled by creating partial period factor in wagetypes /801 and /810 via the standard rule in the payroll schema and then assigning the processing classes for wagetypes to be handled accordingly.
However what would be the exact approach and technical steps in order to configure it.
