Hello
Our legacy SAP system is ending its lifecycle June 2014 and we are building a whole new SAP environment. Most employee infotype records, including LSO items, are being extracted, converted and dataloaded into the new system (some historical data will not be brought over).
Our issue lies with the mandatory course assignments and the training history from legacy (recorded as ET-A614-P). We have 6 general HR policy courses for the entire organization that for ease of maintenance, we are placing on the job hierarchy (D-A615-C). Most current employees have taken all six; any new employees will have their mandatory courses visible when they first access the portal. As soon as the employee has completed the WBT and "confirmed participation" in it, the mandatory course assignment is auto-removed from view in their portal alerts on the Training Home page of LSO.
What is the best/easiest method to convert and dataload the existing employees' training records (completed, in legacy) that will 'cancel' out their mandatory course assignments in the new SAP system? We considered extracting and loading in ET-A614-P but due to the complexities of an entirely new WBT master repository, all new ET objects and the table HRPAD614 not being populated 100% from the dataload, the new environment doesn't recognize the dataloaded ET-A614-P relationship to effectively cancel out the D-A615-C mandatory course assignment.
I am considering doing a simpler load of these six mandatory WBT courses' training history via D-A034-P, but not sure if the D-A615-C relationship recognizes this relationship as a completed course (like a ET-A614-P or E-A025-P relationship would).
Does anyone have any experience with dataloads of this sort of information? Any other methods you would recommend?
thanks in advance,
Connie
