Future: SAP Talent Management or SuccessFactors?

Hi,

 

Observing the ample supply of Payroll and Time Management consultants in SAP HCM market, and the scarcity of Talent Management consultants, I preferred to concentrate on SAP HCM Talent Mangement components and was fortunate enough to implement Objective Settings and Appraisals/E-Recruitment.

 

With SAP's acquisition of SF, there have been various talks in the SAP space.

 

1. What Payroll and Time Management consultants say: SAP's Payroll and Time Management solutioning is unbeatable. The way it integrates with other modules or external systems is much appreciated around the world, so SF or whatever, we don't care.

2. What SF consultants say: Payroll and Time Management can be done with external systems also, say Chronos or ADP Payroll, etc. CLOUD is future, so now its better to shift your concentration from SAP HCM Talent Management component to SF

3. What I understand: SAP also got it's own mobility solution FIORI and is equivalent to SF. Those clients which need mobility only to a few users may go for SAP and FIORI, whereas those which need mobility for most/all of the employees would go for SF.

 

Can somebody clear my confusions and advise me, if I can continue with SAP HCM Talent Management or should I update to SF?

 

Note: I am planning for certification and am not able to decide whether to get certified in SAP or SF.
