Retirement action process

Hi Experts...

Need help in executing retirement action .

I used early retirement / retirement action thru PA40 , for an EE and gave the date 30.04.2014 and when i save this , i get 0008 infotype screen asking me to save it from  01.05.2014

is this correct ? and if i save and come out and run payroll , this EE is selected in payroll and i  had  to block this EE so that he is not selected .

Plz somebody tel me the process or configuration related to this.
