Presenteeism in Time Evaluation

Dear Experts,

The Presenteeism is an additional payment made by payroll to those employees who have had perfect attendance and punctuality.

Payroll needs to receive a wage type called “Presenteeism” from Time Evaluation in order to make this additional payment.

This is so because it is necessary to check if the employee was present every day he or she was expected to work. Also, if the employee was hired or terminated, for example, in the middle of the month, won´t get paid Presenteeism.

Likewise, absences such as sickness will cause partial or total loss of Presenteeism. For example, if the employee is sick for two days or more will lose the entire Presenteeism. However, if the employee was sick for only one day will receive 50% of Presenteeism.

That is, this wage type will work as a mark that Payroll will receive and, depending on its value will make the appropriate payment.

  • 0 = No payment will be made (The employee was sick for two days or more or was hired or terminated in the middle of the month)
  • 0.5 = Payroll will pay 50% of Presenteeism (The employee was absent due to illness for only one day)
  • 1 = Payroll will pay full Presenteeism. (The employee was present everyday of the month he or she was expected to work according his or her work schedule)

Regarding the late comings and early goings, I have no definition yet.

Finally, our Time Evaluation Schema has a set of rules that work in order to process all time data from the 16th to the 15th of each month. To avoid retroactivities, time data from the 16th to the end of the month is accumulated in different time types and, the first of each month this information is transferred into the corresponding wage types and sent to the ZL table so they can be available for payroll. Time data from the first to the 15th of each month is stored in time types and sent straight away to the ZL table.

The idea is to create a set of rules in Time Evaluation to check all the conditions mentioned above and, the first of each month send to payroll the Presenteeism wage type with its corresponding value:

  • 0 (no Presenteeism payment will be made),
  • 0.5 (only 50% of the Presenteeism will be paid) or
  • 1 (Presenteeism will be entirely paid).

Thank you in advance for all your help.

Kind regards,

Alex
