Payroll Calculation in HCM Processes and Forms

Dear Experts,

 

We are implementing SAP HCM ECC. We are having different eligibility criteria for employee allowances. For eg: when we hire an employee we default so many allowance based on employees Jod grade, Nationality, Location. Once the employee is hired and when ever there is a status change for employee say for eg : when employee got married, when he got a new child, certain allowance will be defaulted.

 

Currently we are using HCM Processes and forms to initiate employee status change, based on approvals  employee allowance data will be defaulted in respective info types.

 

When we say initialting HCM forms, all the payroll logic of defaulting wage types and the entire payroll calculation is carrid out in the HCM Processes and forms as a ABAP code.

 

Our concern is, as we are not using payroll PCR's to do the calculation and everything we are doing in HCM FORMS as ABAP coding, will this impact in any way.

 

We want to know if we are doing it correctly, is there any other approach to achieve the same.

 

Our worry is since the payroll calculation is ABAP coding , in future if we do not use a specific form which have certain payroll calculation, then we will loose the calculation part.

 

Can you please suggest us the better of achieving our requirement.
