RTI GB: mid year go-live

Dear experts,

I'm still in an early stage in RTI implementation. Our client is looking to go-live with the RTI in September 2013, I've listed below some questions I have. I'd appreciate your kind assistance to advise in advance.

  1. If I set the go-live date in the feature GBCHG as 01.09.2013, do I still need to perform a forced retro  to 01.04.2013 as suggested in the User Guide? Is 01.09.2013 already a suitable date which should be set in this case, and not 01.04.2013?

  2. Is it necessary to create another record of the new IT0065 maybe using COPY starting from the go-live date (01.09.2013) for existing employees prior to processing payroll for September 2013?

  3. In legal point of view, is it still acceptable for us to go-live in September 2013. There have been 2 sources that I've found. The first one says RTI should be mandatory starting April 2013, whereas the other one says all companies should have RTI ready by October 2013.

  4. If you refer to the RTI user's guide attached in Note 1810145, page 25-29 show details of the mapping of the fields in FPS. For items having "DATA retrieve from" as "BADI" such as Passport Number, does this mean that we will only have write some ABAP coding to fetch info from a srouce we prefer? If so, is HR_GB_PY_RTI_BADI the one I should be using? I noticed this BADI is for amending values in RTI and RTINI so I'm not positive whether this is also for the FPS report.

  5. For the connectivity testing, do you suggest that testing in DEV and QA should be performed before going-live in PRD for XML validation with HMRC's TPVS e.g. for FPS: https://www.tpvs.hmrc.gov.uk/HMRC/RTIFPS ?

Appreciate your kind help in advance.

Thank you & Regards,

Sam
