Would like to get some thoughts on enabling Restricted view of course catalog for employees from different business units. There are various course groups created specific to Business units and they need to be visible only for the employees belong to that group. The purpose is to allow bookings from only from relevant Group specific employees. We looked at the following options to enable this.
- Create a relationship ( Mandatory for or Planned For ) for each Business unit specific Course group, and a Structural auth Profile assigned to each employee to check for relevant course groups as per custom function module. The problem is that this will be large maintenance effort and requires governance.
- ( Mandatory for or Planned For ) for each Business unit specific Course group and check for the allowed business units using workflow at the time course booking . This will involve customizing the workflow to add checks for Allowed business units.
If you have already implemented something on similar requirements, can you share some thoughts on the approach?
